Noir Privacy Policy
In short: Noir does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. Your favorites stay on your phone.
1. Who we are
Noir is an Android wallpaper app published by Beta Sailor ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you use Noir.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account or login.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or files.
- The current version of Noir does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking tools from third parties.
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
3. Information stored on your device
Noir saves a few things only on your device so the app works well:
- Your favorites: the list of wallpapers you have marked with a heart.
- Cached content: a saved copy of the wallpaper list and the images you have viewed, so they load faster and work offline.
This information is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's storage in your Android settings or by uninstalling Noir.
4. Data retention and deletion
We do not store any personal information about you on our servers, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. The information described in section 3 stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete it at any time by clearing Noir's storage in your Android settings (Settings > Apps > Noir > Storage) or by uninstalling the app.
5. Internet use
Noir downloads its wallpaper list and images from a server hosted by Cloudflare. As with any internet connection, the hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address and request details in its standard server and security logs. We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not link it to any profile. For details, see Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
6. Permissions
- Internet: to download the wallpaper list and images.
- Set wallpaper: to apply the wallpaper you choose to your home screen, lock screen, or both. This only happens when you tap Set wallpaper.
7. Children
Noir is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add features that handle information differently (for example advertising), we will update this policy and its effective date before those features are released.
